Who we are

Get It Build ("we", "us", "our") is an independent technology studio that builds websites, custom software, products and automation. This policy applies to this website and to any information you send us through it or by email at getitbuild01@gmail.com.

What this policy covers

It describes what information we collect when you visit this site or contact us, why we collect it, how long we keep it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it. It does not cover third-party websites we link to, such as GitHub, X or Instagram, which have their own privacy policies.

Information you give us

When you use the contact form or email us, we receive whatever you choose to include. Typically that is your name, email address, company or project name, an optional budget range and timeline, and a description of what you want to build.

Information collected automatically

Like almost every website, our hosting provider records standard server logs when a page is requested: the IP address, browser type, requested page, referring page and timestamp. We use these only to keep the site running, secure and available.

Browser storage

The theme controls on this site save your chosen appearance in your browser's local storage so it is remembered on your next visit. This preference stays on your device and is never sent to us.

How we use your information

• To reply to your enquiry and discuss a potential project with you.
• To prepare proposals, quotes and agreements if we decide to work together.
• To operate, maintain and protect this website.
• To comply with legal obligations that apply to us.

We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling, and we do not send marketing emails unless you have asked to receive them.

Cookies and analytics

This site does not set tracking or advertising cookies and does not currently run third-party analytics. If we add analytics in the future, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent first.

Third-party services

A small number of providers help us run this site. They only receive the data needed to deliver their service:

• Hosting and content delivery (currently Cloudflare), which serves the site and processes server logs.
• Google Fonts, which delivers the typefaces used on this site. Your browser requests the font files directly from Google, which may record your IP address as part of that request.
• Email providers used to receive and reply to your messages.

How we share information

We never sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with the service providers listed above, with professional advisers where necessary, or when required to do so by law or to protect our rights and the safety of others.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept for as long as needed to respond to you and, if a project follows, for the duration of that work plus the period required for accounting and legal purposes. Server logs are retained for a short period by our hosting provider and then deleted. You can ask us to delete your enquiry at any time.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it, ask for it to be deleted, object to or restrict how we use it, or receive a copy in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, email getitbuild01@gmail.com. We will respond within a reasonable time and never charge for a reasonable request.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS, and access to enquiries is limited to the people who need it to reply to you. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so please avoid sending sensitive information such as passwords or payment details through the contact form.

Children

This site is intended for adults and businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site or the law changes. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Significant changes will be highlighted on this page.
